Property Photography

two_oaks_lodge_006for web.jpgFor many years I have been providing high quality photography for the owners of holiday lets across the UK. I've met dozens of owners who put great effort into their properties and I like to work hard to get their holiday properties looking at their best.

To get a representative collection of images of your property I offer a flexible package that will ensure you get all the images that show your property at it's best.

If required I will make two visits to your property over the year (additional visits can be arranged for a nominal fee).

Once your images are edited, I'll consult with you regarding where they're going to be used. There are varying requirements for different types of media, so I will format images so that they are optimised for websites or print. Internal shots can usually be taken during Winter months (as long as views aren't required through windows). I'll then visit once your hanging baskets, flowers or other scenic views are available to photograph and in full bloom.

If you deal with a website creation/management company I'm happy to work with them to supply images which will be ideal for slotting in your website or placing into a brochure.

You'll also get a number of images that have been optimised for social media such as Facebook. These will be 'watermarked' so that if people share your images your logo/website name will be seen by all.

In all cases your images will be supplied on a dvd. I do retain copyright of all images so that I can use images to continue to promote my business but I don't restrict or charge for your use of the images.

Advice On Property Photography For Owners

There are a few things you need to do prior to having property photography done. Obviously you want your property to look its best. So make sure beds are made, clutter is removed and windows are cleaned. It's a great idea to add touches like flowers and welcome packs. But don't be tempted to make additions to your usual guest provision; guests 'will' expect a bottle of Bollinger if there is one in a photograph. Although I have quite an array of lighting, I do tend to use available light where possible, so make sure all bulbs are working.

Also consider what works are to be carried out on the property. If you are redecorating or changing the décor then schedule a shoot after alterations are complete.

These small steps ensure that your guest's experience meets their expectations.

Check with the neighbours; not everybody is happy to have their car/house or other property appearing in your publicity shots. The best thing to do is to let owners of adjoining properties know that you are having photography done and give them the opportunity to say that whether they would mind having their property included in the images.

So how much and what do you get?

Currently price depends on what you have in mind; the number or areas covered and the amount of interactivity.  Time is charged per hour.  A leaflet/web shoot commonly takes a few hours and could cost as little as £100 plus travel.

In all cases finished work is ready for you to view in about a week on your own private gallery page.  From here you can order prints and get downloads and we are only too happy to edit images to your specifications.

360 degree photography requires hosting on a server.  We can arrange this, or provide the files for you to locate tours on your own server. You can then insert the tours into your website and offer links from your Facebook page.

If all this sounds like techno babble, 'Don't Panic', we are here to help and can guide you right through the whole process.

Feel free to call or email to arrange a meeting where we can discuss the possibilities.
